So the journey begins. The Wright brothers achieved the first controlled, sustained flight of a powered, heavier-than-air aircraft on December 17, 1903, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Piloted by Orville Wright, the Wright Flyer traveled 120 feet in 12 seconds at 10:35 a.m.. They made four successful flights that day, with Wilbur achieving the longest at 852 feet in 59 seconds.

Ever since that monumental event, there has been a requirement for people to maintain aircraft in all their various beautiful forms.

It is my hope with this website, that some of my 40 years, working as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, I can share with you, the future Superhero, my knowledge and experience.

Explore the site, don’t be afraid to comment and tell me what can be added, improved or removed. Looking forward to working with you.

Erlendur “Elli” Gudmundsson
